Description Single tree ca. 10 m tall, densely branched; leaves dark green on both sides, only slightly paler beneath; acorns scarce; possibly planted.
Habitat Sandy soil and moist organically rich silt; floodplain forest remnant, mostly cleared here; bordered by Taxodium - Nyssa swamp at lake margin; vicinity of mowed lawn.
