Habitat Rich upland mixed hardwood forest with limestone outcrops dominated by Quercus virginiana - Q. laurifolia - Celtis laevigata - Ulmus americana - Carpinus caroliniana - Sabal palmetto; herbaceous layer Oplismenus setarius [hirtellus], Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Sanicula canadensis, Toxicodendron radicans, Asplenium platyneuron, Rivina humilis, Thelypteris hispidula var. versicolor, Smilax bona-nox, and Verbesina virginica. Soils - Paisley fine sand, bouldery subsurface (Typic Albaqualfs).
