Description Ca. 100 plants 1-3 ft. tall; calyx sparsely pubescent along the apex; upper lip of corolla deep purple, lower lip lavender to medium purple.
Habitat On a sandy terrace that tops the upper banks of creek; associates include Chamaecyparis thyoides, Magnolia virginiana, Quercus nigra, Vaccinnium elliottii [V. corymbosum], Cyrilla racemiflora, and Danthonia sericea.
