Habitat 30 year old Pinus taeda plantation on old field, burned annually with relatively good groundcover restoration by frequent winter burning; with Pseudognaphalium obtusifolium, Saccharum alopecuroides, Galium pilosum, Pityopsis graminifolia, Desmodium ciliare, D. lineatum, D. rotundifolium, Smilax auriculatat, and Toxicodendron radicans.
